Each presentation of Vvon Sugunnasil’s collection is a very personal, very intimate event.
This time again he welcomes us into his house.
We’re presenting a new series of sculptures - a way to inhabit his home with a certain spirit,
a particular energy.
THE DISMISSAL SERIES
"For this short presentation of the new “Dismissals Series” French/Swiss Artist Francois Weiss explores ways that narratives unfold across multiple representations of the World. His sculptures and wall works often weave together a vocabulary of painting - water dye on canvas - drawing - dry pastel and charcoal - reminiscent of his earlier photography work - as well as sculptural elements.
These new works investigate the unique qualities and capabilities of written, sculpted and drawn narratives.
The exhibition title borrows from one of the quotes questionning us about our place and our growing misunderstanding with the natural World, overlaying an array of almost photographic imagery - in
reality monotypes, pastel and charcoal drawings.
Misterious signs question our reliance on facts and science.
Our failed attempts to reconcile with our deeper self become elements of a fragmented drama"
