THE DISMISSAL SERIES

I make these pieces - I draw and I write. They have a presence, a meaning that often goes beyond my initial intention - sometimes I feel they’re saying something that I’ve always known.

By capturing cries from my inner voice and engraving them onto copper, wood or stone, I’m only trying to obliterate the distance between my everyday struggles and the call to experience the Infinite - that I believe is the true nature of my presence here.

These are not objects of worship, they are not inspirational nor judgemental, and if I choose to go on with my life in Dismissal I can shake my head in disbelief, hang them on the wall and just look at them.

But I know my truth is there - reading beyond the words, staring at the Infinite.
